Switchback Books (www.switchbackbooks.com) will host an event on Saturday March 29, 2008 at 8 p.m., featuring mixed media presentations and collaborations of music, poetry, photographs, performance and more.
The event, taking place at the newly opened
Medicine Park (www.medparkchicago.com) space, aspires to stress and support the artist significance of the vibrant female artistic community in the Chicago area.

Hanna Andrews. After the evening’s performances,
DJ Melissa Grubbs will help set the tone for mingling and general merrymaking. Event organizers suggest you bring your dancing shoes and BYOB.
SWAN DAY, conceived by The Fund for Women Artists, is a new international holiday that celebrates women artists. It will be an annual event taking place on the last Saturday of Women’s History Month (March). The first SWAN Day will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2008.
A $3 donation is requested and all proceeds will be donated to The Fund for Women Artists
